Pharma Industry Celebrates Virtual Care at First Annual Populuspalooza!

Agency and Pharmaceutical Brand Leadership Converge on Philly for Insights and Party

Wednesday, September 28th, Populus held it's first annual Populuspalooza at the breathtaking One North Broad in Philadelphia, PA, hosted by Steve Madden, MM+M General Manager. Pharmaceutical brand teams and agency execs met to hear some of the latest insights about telehealth, along with announcements regarding new offerings from Populus.

The entertainment included acrobats, jugglers, a magician, a tarot card reader, and culminated in attendees dancing into the evening to the sounds of the band Will Power.

Populus kicked the day off with the debut of their proprietary research study called Telehealth: A Patient's Perspective. The study was conducted across roughly fifty thousand patients who have utilized Populus' Custom Care platform sharing their opinions on telehealth.

The report highlights patients' opinions about their telehealth experiences and how they feel marketers could enhance that experience.

The event went on to unveil the rebranding of Custom Connect to Custom Care and debuted the first two modular add-ons for the platform, Voice to Care and AfterCare. Voice to Care is a virtual assistant program used with Alexa, Google, Siri and others, which allows people to begin a physician consult directly through voice activation.

AfterCare is messaging that is sent as a follow-up to patients after their consult to provide additional information about their condition. The add-on enables continuity of care and increases the lifetime value of a patient.

The presentations also included physician and entrepreneur John Bennett M.D.'s thoughts on the industry and where it is evolving.
